Dynamic R&D policy places GEOCEAN at the forefront of new technological developments.
Thanks to innovative solutions and patented system, GEOCEAN was awarded the « Prestige » oil recovery contract – the vessel was laying in a water depth of 3800 m offshore Spain.

Our R&D department is presently involved in the development of 13 projects, such as :

With more than 25 years of international experience in maritime engineering and its dynamic Research and Development policy, GEOCEAN is diversifying its activities, particulary in new potential markets.
Marine renewable energies are part of these new markets where GEOCEAN will act as an installation and engineering contractor (from geophysical/geotechnical surveys to the installation of equipment and their connection to the grid).
To archieve its goal, GEOCEAN is working closely with technology providers (tidal turbines, wave energy converters...) and has performed technical-economic analysis of different potential demonstration sites in France and overseas.
